Digital Photo Archive System Cleans Up Industrial Documentation Dilemma.

Newly reorganized Hartson Photography introduces an electronic photography / database management system geared for construction and industrial photo-documentation.

Seattle, WA August 20, 2004 - The Electronic Image Data System ( EIDS ) follows the existing format used in many engineering record systems but differs since it does not imbed image data directly into engineering documents. The approach retains speedy access to engineering documents with all images linked and filed into a separate storage file. With built-in familiarity, EIDS parrots engineering file architecture and can be implemented with very little staff training.

The EIDS system easily adopts into any large project. The idea behind EIDS was built upon the need to manage the flood of digital photo files into engineering data Large photos clogged data storage systems and made access to engineering documents painfully slow. Now in its tenth year, EIDS has successfully managed electronic image / data for a large 170-head engineering facility, and its performance without problems or data loss is admirable. This first EIDS system holds accountability for thousands of projects with tens-of-thousands of images.

The biggest problem with digital photography / digital imaging (like video) when it lands an engineers computer is that nobody really handles it the same way. Says owner Steve Hartson. EIDS uses the format of existing engineering records to build and standardize image handling. The system keeps files organized for all team members to follow and find- making retrieval easy. Hartson Photo also provides a full service concept gathering images, organizing, filing, and archiving- for industrial and construction clients in the greater Seattle Washington area. What we can do is provide great looking, informative images for project documentation, then efficiently package them into a clients record / archive system. We can do this much cheaper than an engineers time, and provide higher quality images than what most project members are capable of. Let the engineer be an engineer, and let us manage photography issues the effectiveness of the entire project team will go up. says Steve.

Hartson Photography offers the industry consulting service for this cost-effective digital image filing system, or can provide a full service option to handle all photography And keep key employees at their primary work instead of managing photos. Adopting into the EIDS system makes sense to every team we have talked with says owner Steve Hartson. Together our photo services, with EIDS, construction and industrial project members are more efficient in their work, they enjoy great photos, at less cost, and with much less stress.

Hartson Photography provides 'full service' photography support with digital file management fitted to a client's engineering record system, but will provide consulting service regarding EIDS to any business interested.

Hartson Photography is a Seattle-based commercial / industrial photo business operating since mid 1980s, offering contemporary portrait, commercial, or special event photography services on film or digital. Professional Photographer Steve Hartson has +25 years experience in the photo industry within Washington State.
